Hope you had a chance to read our post yesterday here on Green Kids Rock. I could not tear myself away from the PC yesterday, learning more about this serious threat to the safety of our food supply. The more I read on this issue, the madder I got. How is it that one company, Monsanto, is allowed to control and contaminate our food supply. Ever heard of GMO's--Genetically Modified Organisms? Probably not. Unfortunately, most families in the the U.S. don't know either. Hey Neergs--Here's a great reminder that we are not powerless. If you haven't heard, there was a really cool protest held on Saturday, June 26th. Gatherings were held across the Gulf coast on beaches in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. At 12N, lots of people, including kids, joined their hands in solidarity to protest offshore drilling for 15 minutes and to support a clean energy future. Check out the cool photo montage. Hi Neergs--I know this is a short post, but I had to share. I just read this and was stunned. Did you know that this BP Oil spill tragedy has killed 11 workers?Did you know the spill is way worse than the nation's last worst
